Everyone wants great skin, especially one that is powered by natural products. Chemical products increase the risk of cancer and other skin conditions. Lavender oil is a natural skincare remedy that gives you dazzling skin.  Lavender Oil is not only useful for the surface, but it can also be used to treat other issues like digestion and hair health.  It is a simplified natural approach to a lot of health issues due to its natural healing properties.  For the skin, it leaves a long-lasting soothing feeling when it is used.

When it concerns skincare, lavender addresses issues like skin lightening, acne, wrinkles, etc. For people who have a goal to look younger than their age, Lavender oil is a great solution to add to your skincare regimen. Lavender has a beautiful aroma that is therapeutic. When used for aromatherapy, it has been said to be an excellent tool for calming the mind, body and soul, i.e. easing anxiety and nerves.

Lavender Oil is gotten from the lavender plant and can be used in oral form, topically or through aromatherapy.  Here are some uses of Lavender Oil.

Lavender Oil and Acne

Lavender oil is an antibacterial that gets rid of every form of bacteria that penetrates skin pores. One of the things the skin produces is sebum which clogs the skin pores and causes inflammations. Sebum is one of the causes of acne, but lavender helps to unclog the pores and reduce inflammations.

To get the best result, you can mix it with another oil that has great benefits of the skin, e.g. coconut oil and apply to the face after washing. Mixing the lavender with argan oil is another way to get rid of pimples and inflammations.

Lavender, Eczema and Dry Skin

Sometimes, we have ankles, hands, faces that are quickly dried or calloused, lavender oil serves as an excellent remedy for dry skin. Dry skin may be caused by eczema, and Lavender oil reduces redness, blotchy patches, and itching by healing the skin. Its anti-fungal properties make it difficult for eczema to survive once it has been applied to the surface.

Lavender Oil is also used for treating psoriasis, cleansing the skin while reducing irritation and redness. To get the best out of this treatment, it is best used with tea tree oil and coconut oil, daily.

Lavender oil in toner and skin clarification

Some people desire an evenly toned skin. They may suffer from skin discoloration, hyperpigmentation, blotchiness and redness or dark spot. Lavender Oil is an excellent way of treating such conditions. When using as a skin toner, you should mix two drops of lavender with witch hazel (a teaspoon). You then apply the mixture to your face gently using a cotton ball soaked in the mix.

Lavender oil in body butter

The ancient Greek cherished lavender for its healing properties. This was to the extent that when their soldiers went to war, they put it in their bags to treat wounds and infections. Its antiseptic properties prevent several issues, especially when made into a body butter that is applied daily.

It can be used to treat pain inflammations, e.g. the ones caused by burns. The soothing and calming effect on the skin makes it ideal for treating such conditions. It has a detoxifying effect on the skin.  For treating sunburns, it is best mixed with lavender oil and jojoba oil to make the perfect body butter.

Lavender oil in body scrub

Lavender can be used in an herbal body scrub mixture from time to time.

The mixture can serve as a facial and body scrub to get rid of face wrinkles. Face wrinkles are mainly caused by free radicals and the antioxidants in lavender oil is a great combatant for such. It also has moisturizing properties. It safe to say that lavender oil is an excellent formula for anti-aging.

Some people prefer chemically made products, such as creams, lotions, moisturizer, makeup, lip balm, facial cleansers and toners, suntan lotions, sunblock lotions, sunscreens, etc. which all contain properties of lavender. The effect of those compared to that of natural skincare products that are made into body scrubs and body butter are world apart.  Natural skincare products which contain ingredients like lavender oil is a much better choice for the skin as opposed to this invasive and harmful chemically made products.
